Being creative in Nursery
Nursery have been getting creative by gluing and sticking to make collage pictures and printing with paint and corks. We have lots of creative children, who are always very proud of their artwork.
Outdoor fun in Nursery September 2025
Our Nursery children have enjoyed learning outside in September. From building towers, to mark making with chalk and jumping in puddles. Lots of opportunities to explore in different weather.
Year 3 Painting techniques
Year 3 have been practicing their painting techniques and learning about how Vincent Van Gogh used impasto paint, line and blue shades to create “A Starry Night”.
They used flour to thicken their paint and then painted in the style of Van Gogh.
Year 4 Performing Poetry
To conclude our poetry topic, we have been performing our haiku and cinquain poems, using actions, emphasising rhythms and changing our intonation. We certainly had some very dramatic performances!
Art in Year 5
Year 5 studied the famous painting Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh.
They looked carefully at the colours and how the flowers were drawn. They then created their own versions, using oil pastels to produce deep, vibrant colours. Everyone was very pleased with the end result.
