Year 3 Mandala Patterns in Collage and Textiles
Year 3 have been looking at artists Faith Ringgold and Alma Thomas. They studied their work and replicated their style in textiles, ink and collage. Mandala originated in India and is used as symbolism in Buddhist and Hindu faiths. They enjoyed creating their own mandalas and textiles.
Year 3 & 4 Quick Sticks Hockey Tournament
Year 3 and 4 representatives had a great time at the School Games Quicksticks hockey tournament, competing against other schools. They won some games and lost others, but all of the children showed excellent sportsmanship throughout.
Search and Rescue Assembly
- Year 3 enjoyed learning about the valuable life saving work carried out by Search and Rescue volunteers. Seeing their equipment, hearing about their job and asking questions was really interesting.
