Y6 Aspiration Session
Y6 enjoyed a morning with representatives from the Cumbria Primary Business partnership who came in to deliver a series of workshops about different jobs and career paths available in Cumbria.
Nursery making gingerbread men and ladies
Nursery have been reading the story of the gingerbread man and acting it out with puppets. We then made our own gingerbread men and ladies and decorated them after they had been baked in the oven. This time though they had no time to run away as they were eaten by the children! Yum!
Nursery’s first PE session
Nursery had their first PE session this week. We played the ‘runner bean’ game. Then we moved to different musical instruments. The children really enjoyed it and can’t wait until next week!
Investigating properties of rocks
Today, we learnt lots of new vocabulary to describe rocks such as: igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic, permeable, durable and density. We used this vocabulary to describe our rocks and their properties.
Year4 Prayer and Liturgy
Today’s Prayer and Liturgy was about how we can follow in Jesus’ footsteps by helping others.
Strudda farm trip - Reception
Reception had a fantastic morning at Strudda farm with Farmer Kev! They learned lots about local farm life and animals. They were able to meet some animals, ride on the tailor, dig for potatoes and lots more.
Windermere trip, the final chapter!
We worked so efficiently through our workshops so we even had time for making our own Stone Age rope, using rushes! We had a great day and learnt so much!
