National School Sport Week
As part of National School Sport Week, Year 4 have had an additional P.E lesson. Today they learned about how to sustain running without stopping by exploring their individual pace. They also learned about the importance of adopting a good running form and stretching.
Year 3 Sports Week
We had a wonderful week of sports, mixing dance, skipping and swimming. We had a fantastic week.
Y6 Gymnastics
Year 6 have been practising balances using push and pull motions with Mrs Mason during their weekly Gymnastics sessions.
Year 5 NSPCC Big Break-time
Year 5 have had an active day for the NSPCC Big Break . They had an extended break enjoying playing lots of games with our new equipment. They also designed games for Year 2 to play and had so much fun playing them.
NSPCC Big Breaktime
Year 4 enjoyed an extended playtime this morning in the sunshine. They thoroughly enjoyed using the new equipment and the extra time being active.
Year 3 Dance
Year 3 had so much fun creating different types of dances and learning new moves.
Mile-a-Day
Keeping fit by practising maintaining a constant pace for a mile after some running drills to develop good posture and range of motion.
Reception multi skills
This half term Reception have had a multi skills sports coach. We have been learning how to control a ball by throwing and catching it. We have also been improving our under arm and over arm throwing by trying to throw bean bags into a hoop.
Walk To School Week 2022
It was great to see so many children walking to and from school this week and collecting Street Tags along the way!
Y6 Tag Rugby at Egremont RUFC
Our Y6 Tag Rugby team were delighted to be asked to compete in a tournament at Egremont RUFC last week and won 3 games out of 4. A great show of teamwork and sportsmanship from them all!
Year 3/4 Football Tournament
Year 3 and 4 had a fantastic afternoon at a football tournament at St. Benedict’s School today. They enjoyed practising all the skills they have been learning in PE with our football coach.⚽️⚽️⚽️
Y2 Cricket Skills
Today Year 2 had their first cricket coaching session. The children learned how to hold the cricket bat correctly to strike a bat, throw overarm and to aim at the stumps. They had great fun and cannot wait for their next session.
