Year 4 were using all the skills they have learnt so far to improve and refine then put into a sequence. 

This morning, Year 4 were experimenting with making shapes and improving their balance on the apparatus. They all identified that they needed to use their core strength. 

A small team from Year 2 represented the school at a Year 2 indoor football tournament at Whitehaven. The children showed great sportsmanship and worked well together as a team. We are very proud of them!

Representatives from Y3 & Y4 enjoyed taking part in a Football Festival. Great ball skills and team spirit from all involved. 

Nursery had their first PE session this week. We played the ‘runner bean’ game. Then we moved to different musical instruments. The children really enjoyed it and can’t wait until next week!

Reception enjoyed a multi-skills session with Dan during their P.E. lesson this week. They practiced chasing, balancing and changing direction. 

Year 3 test their endurance with mile a day challenge!

Year One enjoyed taking part in Mile a Day today and even Mrs Stead joined in.  Lots of fun keeping fit and active.  

Y3 had a great time this afternoon, learning new hockey skills. Passing and stopping the ball with great accuracy.

This half term we are learning how to refine some of the gymnastics moves we learned last year in preparation for a competition later in the year. Today we focused on jumping and using this to mount the apparatus correctly.

Year 4 having been learning how to jump safely during gymnastics. They experiemented with making different shapes.

Congratulations to our fantastic Y5/6 Girls’ Cricket Team who reached the county finals and competed at Cockermouth Cricket Club today.
