Year 1 had a fantastic time competing in Sports Day. It was great fun racing and cheering everyone on. Congratulations to the green team who were the winners. 
 

A huge well done to all of Year 5 who tried so hard in all of their races on Sports Day. Congratulations to the Green Team who won this year! 
 

Today Year 4 used newspaper to help them learn new skills as part of their Squash coaching. They played the newspaper game to warm up, which helped train their sense of pace and posture, followed by using the newspaper as a target to help teach them coordination and accuracy. 
 

We had a fantastic time this morning completing a sports circuit with Jonathan Paterson team GB Paralympic Footballer. Afterwards we learnt all about how he achieved his dream of becoming an Olympic athlete. He certainly inspired us to work hard, believe in ourselves and to always do our best.

Year 3 enjoyed doing exercises with our 2 Paralympian athletes today. They did really well and had great fun.

What a fantastic day! A really tremendous effort by everyone in Year 4 at our 2023 Sprits Day. I was very proud of the team spirit and support everyone showed one another. Well done to green team!

The weather held off and we were delighted to be able to take part in our first Sports Day on the field since 2019. Excellent performances from all our Y6 children with the green team eventually doing out victorious!

Year 6 were invited to attend a cricket tournament at Whitehaven Cricket Club. They played several other local schools and won many of their games. They finished 2nd in their group which sadly was not quite enough to get to the final. Nevertheless, a great day was had by all and the children were…
