At St. Bridget’s we encourage Active playtimes. This week the children have been enjoying playing tennis as well using all the other equipment we have available. They also enjoy challenging themselves on our climbing equipment or playing imaginary games in the Forest area. 

In order to show our support for England in the 2024 Euros we have all been wearing football shirts on the day of their matches. Come on England!

We had a visit from ‘Bees in the trees’ for Reception and Nursery. The beekeeper taught us all about drone bees, worker bees and the queen bee. The children learnt all about larva and pupa and how the eggs develop. We then looked at what bees eat and the children got close up view of the bees.

Year 2 began their work on time with an active maths lesson to recap o’clock and half past times. They had great fun moving around the playground in different ways and stopping to make given times on their individual clocks. What a great start it was to their work on time!
