Year 4 enjoyed their first squash lesson with Gavin. They practised keeping a close eye on the ball whilst manoeuvring around. I have to say Year 4 gave a very promising start - some of the children even progressed onto pancakes! 
 

Year 2 have spent time during their P.E. lessons lately working on their dribbling, stopping and passing of the ball. They have really improved over the weeks and are now able to dribble and pass the ball with increased accuracy. What a joy it has been to see them improve!

Well done to Zabian who came 4th out of 12 in the Northumberland U13 Squash Tournament and just marginally missed out on Bronze by a few points. A fantastic achievement! 
 

Year 3 children dressed in blue, learnt about the Visitation, made miraculous medals, created prayer books and said the Rosary. We had a great day.

Year 2 dressed up in blue to celebrate Saint Mary. The children learned all about how Catholics celebrate Mary during the month of May. Then they found out how Mary has many different names all around the world. They had great fun finding out the names that different countries call her.

It was National Numeracy Day this week. In recognition of this Year 2 took part in an active maths session. They had to work with a partner to solve different calculations that were placed around the hall. They all showed wonderful teamwork and enjoyed talking about how they were solving each…

A huge well done to all the children who walked, cycled or scooted to school this week as part of Walk to School Week. Keep up the great effort and remember it’s never too late to start active travel. 

Group B had a great time at Forest School yesterday for their last session. They still enjoyed climbing trees, playing in the mud and chilling out in the hammocks despite the rain! 

This week we celebrated two second places in a Panathlon and Bowling tournament. Well done to all the children who took part. 

In Maths this week we have been learning how to group objects and share them fairly. The children put this into practise using biscuits. In partners they were given a number of biscuits to share evenly. We learnt about wholes and halves and how to share using the rhyme, one for you, one for you.…
