Y5 have had a spooky spectacular day making creepy cookies and bats, writing spooky stories and playing some gruesome games!

This week Nursery have started some of their Halloween fun in Nursery. We made marshmallow ghosts, spider pizzas, Halloween cards and explored pumpkins.

Y5 carried out an experiment to see if they could separate a mixture of sand, salt and water. They used filtration and evaporation to see if they could separate the mixture back to its original form. 
 

All of the children have been working so hard to create their Stone Age Homes. Having studied Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic homes at school; children and parents helped to create some breathtaking houses over 3 weeks for homework. A huge success and fun to do too!

The Nursery children have been reading traditional stories. They have then been making story props such as puppets and masks to use to retell the stories. 
 

Y6 have been refining their throwing and catching skills and consolidating their knowledge of how to play invasion games through weekly dodgeball sessions each Friday in the hall. Excellent teamwork and sportsmanship have developed.

For Mental Health Awareness Day Y5 learnt all about positive thinking. We made booklets to help us have a positive outlook on situations that arise.
