Reception’s party day 2021
Reception had a party to celebrate Christmas. We had an afternoon tea of party food and played party games such as musical chairs, bumps, statues and pin the nose on Santa. What a great party!

Year 2 Phonics Screening success
Our wonderful Year 2 children have been celebrating their Phonics Screening success with a certificate presentation and the eating of Christmas cupcakes. They achieved some of the best results we’ve ever seen by a class. We are so very proud of them all!

A colourful gymnastics lesson
During the final gymnastics lesson of the term, the Year 2 children were working towards a certificate. One of the criteria was to be able to use a dancing ribbon to create shapes. The children had great fun exploring the shapes they could create with them. What a fun lesson it was!
Year 5 4 Figure Grid References
Year 5 have been learning how to write 4 figure grid references and how to use them. They used their skills to find exact locations of different places.
Year 1 Santa Post

Wild Rivers Field Trip 3 (2021)
We all had a go at pond dipping. We disturbed the riverbed to release invertebrates then captured a sample of the water so that we could make observations of any living organisms. We then used the scale to determine how fresh and unpolluted the water in the River Ehen is.
Wild Rivers Field Trip 2 (2021)
We made very detailed observations of a section of the River Ehen so that we could make a technical drawing of the area using map symbols.
