Year 4 are well on their way to being chefs now! Today they compared the ingredients of tinned and homemade soup then made their own tomato soup.

Year 5 took part in a x- country event at St. Benedict’s today. We all ran 2km and our average time was worked out. In June we will return to St. Benedict’s to run the same course and we will see if we can improve our time. We hope to get lots of training in before then so we can knock some time…

Year 3 and 4 had a fantastic time at Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake. They watched their Christmas production of The Borrowers. What a marvellous show! This afternoon, Year 4 drew a section of the river using map symbols to represent the different features of the river section that they were observing.  

Year 4 explored the river environment this morning. Each group was given a range of natural items to locate which they had to photograph. In their search, they had to use their knowledge of habitats and living organisms. 
 

Year 4 had lots of fun in class today learning more about the delicate biodiversity of river environments. 

Our circle of odd socks to raise awareness of anti-bullying. It's to symbolise that we are all different and that children should be themselves, accepting of one another and celebrate difference.
