Year 5 enjoyed their trip to the library to change their books. Many children opted for non- fiction books this time and they were keen to get started with reading them.

Year 5 enjoyed putting all the skills they have learnt over the last half term in athletics into practice in a mini class tournament. They did the triple long jump, standing long jump, hurdles, javelin and relays. They all had a great time cheering in their team mates. 
 

KS2 had a fantastic time on their end of year trip in the Lost Fort at Lowther Castle.

The perfect way to end the year. The most fantastic day spent exploring the fort at Lowther Castle in the lovely sunshine. The smiles say it all!

We had a wonderful day under the shade of the wood and the fort at Lowther Castle. We had a super time playing and eating our picnic.

To finish our topic of, ‘Commotion in the Ocean’, Reception went on a trip to St Bee’s beach. As the tide was in they got to play on the stone beach and throw some pebbles in the sea and look for shells. We saw lots of seaweed and even the skin of a sea snake. We then went to Hartley’s for an ice…

We all had a great time at the County School Games competing in in the tri-golf section. All the children enjoyed all the different challenges at each station and they all came home with a medal!

Year 4 nipped to Egremont Library this morning to choose a book to begin their summer of reading. They are learning how to withdraw a book independently. 
 

Year 4 took part in the Cumbria School Games in Carlisle. It was a great opportunity for them to put all the skills they have been learning into practice.
