Year 2 have been learning how to add images to a spreadsheet and assign a value to each image. They used the images to calculate how much items would cost if bought together.

Year 3 deepened their understanding of multiplication using concrete resources, counters, to make arrays. They learnt the difference between columns and rows. They presented their arrays in two ways. Well done Year 3 you smashed it.

Last week in Maths we worked on moving and labelling numbers 1, 2 and 3. We used the tuff tray to match number 1, 2 and 3 to the correct amount of objects. Some children even had a go at giving numbers 4 and 5 the correct amount too. 
 

As part of their D&T topic about healthy snacks, Year 6 made hummus from fresh ingredients, including ingredients they had never heard of before such as tahini. For many, it was the first time they had ever tasted hummus. They were surprised how how quick and easy it to make.
