A huge congratulations to our netball team who took part in a tournament at West Lakes Academy. They worked together as a team taking on board all the coaching skills they had learnt from our netball coach Mrs Parr and came 1st place overall scoring 41 goals! We are very proud of them!

Today two Sellafield apprentices came in to tell us all about their jobs. We learnt about what happens at Sellafield and how STEM subjects are important in their roles. Welcome to Year 6! What a lovely morning we had reacquainting ourselves. First, we devised our Learning Charter together then we took part in a quiz. Finally, we went onto the Book Bus to select the library books to have in our class from Autumn term. 
 

At St. Bridget’s we encourage Active playtimes. This week the children have been enjoying playing tennis as well using all the other equipment we have available. They also enjoy challenging themselves on our climbing equipment or playing imaginary games in the Forest area. 

Congratulations to the Blue Team for winning Sports Day 2024. A huge well done to all the children who took part in our races. All the teams showed exceptional teamwork, determination and competitiveness! 

Year 6 are ready for the Euros! We have had a sweepstake, we’ve got our wall chart ready to record the results and we’re very excited to see how our teams will progress.

Year 6 have been experimenting with Cubism. They used a range of different materials to recreate a still life, playing with perspective, shape and colour. The aim was to create an idea of the still life rather than a precise reproduction. 

Year 6 have been getting ready for Sports Day. There’s been lots of team planning and support. Which team will win the coveted trophy this Year? 
 

Well done to Zabian who came 4th out of 12 in the Northumberland U13 Squash Tournament and just marginally missed out on Bronze by a few points. A fantastic achievement!
