In our after-school running club today, the focus was on footwork, core strength, and coordination.
We used agility ladders to help us practise these skills and quickly realised it was harder than it looked! With practice, we all improved our coordination and speed as the session went on.

Year 6 had some archery coaching this afternoon. They learned lots of skills like how to stand in the correct position, hold the bow and arrow and how to take aim. They quickly found that it required a lot of concentration and power to hit the target. 

Year 6 enjoyed an afternoon of explosive fun whilst learning all about the scientific concept of energy.

Year 6 had some tag rugby coaching this afternoon. They learned how to pass the ball and how to defend and attack. 

Year 6 had a wonderful afternoon investigating and observing the historic site of Egremont Castle and noticing exactly why it was such a perfect position for a fort and castle. 

Year 6 had a lovely morning learning at Florence Mine learning about the mining industry , how it has been a huge part of the development of Egremont and inspiration to local artists.

A big thank you to the members of the Crab Fair committee who took the time to come into school to talk to us about the Crab Fair. We learned all about the exciting events happening over the weekend — including the gurning competition!
