Active Fun at Whinlatter Forest
Year 4 had lots of exercise outside in the fresh air at Whinlatter Forest. They had lots of fun running, climbing, balancing, crawling and lots more physical activities in the forest environment.
Living things in their Habitat at Whinlatter Forest
Year 4 had a fabulous time at Whinlatter Forest exploring the natural habitat of lots of different organisms. They enjoyed finding examples of plants and animals that they have been learning about in science and using lots of scientific vocabulary.
Dodgeball
A small selection of our Year 3 & 4 children represented St Bridget’s in a Dodgeball tournament at St Bees School today. There were about ten local schools taking part. They enjoyed the many varied activities.
KS2 End Of Year Trip
KS2 had a fantastic time on their end of year trip in the Lost Fort at Lowther Castle.
School Games Tri-Golf 2022
We all had a great time at the County School Games competing in in the tri-golf section. All the children enjoyed all the different challenges at each station and they all came home with a medal!
KS2 Rounders Club
KS2 children have enjoyed learning how to play rounders in our after school club. They have learnt batting and fielding skills and all enjoyed playing lots of matches.
Platinum Jubilee Y4
Y4 have had a wonderful day celebrating our Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. They created collage portraits of the Queen and then they joined with the rest of the school to enjoy a traditional street party with ice-cream, picnic and music and dancing on the yard.

Logo in Year 4
Year 4 are using Logo to learn how to use a text based coding language to control an onscreen turtle to create mathematical patterns. Today they have been learning the common instructions using the Logo programming language to create shapes.
Exploring the New Castle
