Y3 Gymnastics
Year 3 have been working really hard in our gymnastics sessions. We have been learning to create sequences and to do backwards rolls. We have been trying hard to keep our bodies stretched and in nice strong lines.
Let’s dance!
This half term Reception are working on learning some basic dance moves. Today’s lesson had some challenging combinations in them but this did not stop the children from trying their best throughout.
Gymnastics
In our gymnastics today we have been learning how to safely travel and jump. We have also been working on landing on 2 feet and finishing with finesse.
Year 5 do indoor P.E.
Year 5 enjoyed team building games indoors with Mr Green.
Y5/6 Indoor Athletics
Y5/6 enjoyed taking part in Indoor Athletics today. They did a range of events including javelin, long jump, triple jump, vertical jump and chest push as well as a variety of running events! Well done for excellent team spirit!
School Council meeting
Our School Council met to discuss how we can make our school healthier. After discussions in all the classes lots of great ideas were put forward. Some of these included creating a ‘Fruit Tuck Shop’ for the juniors to encourage us to eat more fruit, guest runners to motivate us with our Mile-a-Day…
Y4 Squash
Y4 enjoyed learning lots of new skills in their squash lesson at the Falcon Club. They learnt the importance of warming up, how to hold the racquet correctly, how to hit the ball and finished with some exercises to improve balance.
Year 1 Gymnastics
Year 1 have had a great gymnastics session today learning about core strength and balancing. We learned new balances and helped to support our partner when needed.
Year 2 Keeping Fit
Year 2 continue to keep fit by enjoying a Mile a Day in the winter sunshine. They are learning how to pace themselves so they can keep running without stopping and about the importance of stretching after a run.
Year 1 & Year 2 Mile a Day
