Moving Up to Reception
What a lovely time we had meeting our new Reception Class. The children looked around our inside and outside provision areas and then chose to explore their new learning environment. The outside area was popular and we all had lots of fun.

Arrrrr the Nursery pirates
In Nursery we have started our Pirate topic. The children have been making their own paper pirate underpants, making pirate hats and telescopes. Next we will be looking for pirate treasure using our treasure maps.
Our bread caterpillars
This week we have been reading the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. The children have then been making their own caterpillars out of bread and even adding some raisins for eyes. Over the next few weeks we will be learning more about caterpillars and butterflies.

Using our senses in Nursery

Pizza making in Nursery
After introducing our pizza shop in Nursery the children then made their own pizzas. We made the pizza base from scratch and then added tomato purée and cheese. The best bit was eating them. They tasted delicious!
Celebrating pancake day in Nursery
Nursery celebrated pancake day yesterday by making and eating some pancakes. Some of our children had a turn at flipping the pancakes too in the frying pan. We had the choice of syrup, chocolate sauce or jam to go on them. Yum yum!
