World Maths Day in Nursery
We celebrated world maths day with the help of the numberblocks.
We practised our counting skills, counting the objects in the picture, we then used a peg to choose the correct numberblock for the amount.

Times Tables Rock Star NSPCC Challenge
KS2 took part in the NSPCC Times Table Rock Star challenge today. They all tried very hard to be the winning class with the highest number of correct answers per pupil. The speed and recall of some of the pupils was very impressive! A huge well done to everyone.
Year 3 TTROCKS
Year 3 took part in a TTROCKS Challenge. How many correct answers can they get in one hour? This was a Countrywide Challenge, we did really well.
Shape Work in Maths
The Year 2 children have been exploring how to draw and make 2D shapes in their maths lesson. They really enjoyed using the geoboards on the iPads to create their own 2D shapes before attempting to draw them.
Maths in Year 5
In maths we have been finding factors of numbers. We made arrays with counters to help understand this. We learnt that numbers that only have 2 factors , 1 and the number itself, are called Prime Numbers.

Taking away in Reception
In Maths we have been learning how to take away. The children have used the bus game, where you put a number of people on the bus and then take them away at each bus stop. They then wrote take away calculations and used the bus and people to work out the answers. Super Maths Reception!
