Year 2 Visit to Egremont Library
Year 2 went to Egremont Library for their termly visit. The children had great fun exploring all the books on offer and chose one each to borrow. They were very excited to go home and share the books with their parents.
All aboard the Book Bus!
Year 1 had a magical time on the Book Bus. They were amazed how many books were inside. Claire the Librarian showed us around. We all chose a book to bring into class. We will enjoy sharing our books together. Year 1 definitely agree that Claire has an amazing job driving a Book Bus.

Last week our Nursery children enjoyed reading the story ‘Tiddler’ by Julia Donaldson, as part of our ‘All about Julia’ topic.

The Book Bus Visits School
Year 5 Reading Champions visited the Book Bus today to choose a selection of books for our class. They enjoyed choosing fiction and non- fiction books. They brought them back to class where we all enjoyed having a look at them.
Year 2 Visit the Library Van
Year 2 had a wonderful time browsing through all the books on offer on the library and today. They choose a good selection of fiction, non- fiction and poetry. They couldn’t wait to take them back to class and read them.
‘I want to be … a Doctor’
This week our younger children have loved reading the story ‘I want to be …a Doctor’ and using the role play equipment pretending to be a doctor. Our older children loved joining in and helping them too.
Christmas Storytime and Draw-along Session

New Books
Our Reading Ambassadors have been busy this week. They were very excited to accept delivery of the new books from each class’ wish list. They organised them into piles then stamped them with the school stamp.

Nursery: The Dot
This week our older children have been reading the story - The Dot. In the story we met a little girl called Vashti who thought she couldn’t do any art. By the end of the story she discovered that she could, all she had to do was make a mark - a dot.
