Spreadsheets
In their computing lessons, Year 4 are learning how to use and create spreadsheets. They have been using the formula wizard to help them create formulas. They enjoyed learning to how to use a spreadsheet to create a Maths game.
Circuits
In P.E. today, Year 4 created their own circuits session by choosing 10 different strength and conditioning exercises. They then completed the circuit, carrying out each exercise for 20 seconds with a 30 second rest in between each exercise. They were then able to identify which parts of the body…

Year 4 are well on their way to being chefs now! Today they compared the ingredients of tinned and homemade soup then made their own tomato soup.
Year 5 X- country
Year 5 took part in a x- country event at St. Benedict’s today. We all ran 2km and our average time was worked out. In June we will return to St. Benedict’s to run the same course and we will see if we can improve our time. We hope to get lots of training in before then so we can knock some time…
Year 3 Forest School Part 2
Year 3 had a wonderful time making and eating s'more's and bird feeders at Forest School. Despite the weather not being great, our happy children used the wet mud as face paint.

Nursery Christmas Ginger Biscuits
This afternoon Nursery have enjoyed baking and decorating some Christmas ginger biscuits. We put golden syrup, egg yolk, dairy free butter and some biscuit mix into a bowl and mixed it all together. They baked in the oven for 15 minutes.

The Gingerbread man
In Reception we read the story of the Gingerbread man during our topic, 'Once upon a time'. The children retold the story, acted it out and we then made our own gingerbread man. These ones had no chance to run away though as the children had eaten them all up!
