Year 6 have enjoyed learning about the 32 countries involved in the World Cup. They have plotted the countries on a world map and used our class atlases to research each country’s flag. The classroom was a riot of colour and paint as we enjoyed a morning of flag painting!
As part of their topic on Africa and preparation for their trip to The Rum Story tomorrow, Year 2 re-enacted how squashed the slaves must have felt on the slave ships.
We had great fun making sensory bottles. We loved choosing all the glitter and sparkles to go inside them. We were really pleased with how they looked at the end.

Year 2 enjoyed taking part in the Country Dancing Festival at Whitehaven Sports Centre.

This week Reception have been thinking about water transport as part of their topic on transport. They made boats using materials that are waterproof then tested them to see if they would float.
Reception thoroughly enjoyed their sports day this morning. They all tried their best and worked as part of a team. Well done to them all!
