Y5 Viking Trip
Y5 had a great day on their Anglo-Saxons and Viking Trip. They learnt how to make ink and quills, how to weave and how to make coins on a furnace. They also learnt how to handle weapons and re-enacted a battle.

After reading a paragraph from Viking Boy describing the ‘God Temple’, Y5 drew a pencil sketch showing their interpretation of the description.
Y5 Viking Art
Year 5 studied different styles of art created in the Viking era and drew their own pencil sketches in a similar style.
Y5 TTRockstars
We all had a great time dressing up as rockstars and practising our x tables on TT Rock Stars!
Y5 library visit 17.9.19
Y5 enjoyed choosing and reading new books today at Egremont Library.
Y5 Viking butter
Year 5 enjoyed making Viking butter today by shaking cream until it turned into butter. They learnt that Vikings would have done this in a butter churn and it was one of the many ways they preserved food.
Y5 active maths
Year 5 have been enjoying some Active Maths. They had to find the answers to questions, on numbers to a million, placed around the classroom.
World Religions Presentation
We researched World Religions such as: Hindu, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Islam. We produced a poster to show others.
Y5 Move Up Day to Y6
The current Y5 class enjoyed an afternoon of collaborative team work in Y6 with Mrs Taylor and Miss Parr. Their challenge was to build the highest but sturdiest tower out of marshmallows and spaghetti. Brooke, Lola and Charlotte were crowned the eventual winners. We’re all looking forward to…
