Year 5 had a great time at the Beacon where we learned all about World War 1 and took part in a County initiative “A Brave New World”. We studied artefacts from the War, made poppies from plastic bottles and looked around the WW1 exhibition. After lunch we took a wet walk to the archives in town.…

Children and parents made huge efforts to create imaginative Halloween costumes. They all looked great! Following a day of Halloween activities, they enjoyed “Fright night” games, activities and a disco. A truly spooktacular day!

Year 5 have tried really hard to pray the Rosary each day and learnt about the Mysteries and how to use Rosary beads. They have also been saying the additional two prayers as requested by Pope Francis. We have really enjoyed this quiet time of reflection.

Year 5 have thoroughly enjoyed their football with Mr Green. They played lots of games and focused skills.

Year 5 began their 100 mile challenge with Mr Blanks and aim to do a mile each day. Year 5 will be really fit by the end! 

Year 5 had a marvellous day of fun and ice cream at Lowther castle. We really enjoyed the wooden fort.
