Grow grow grow
As part of our topic this half term of, ‘grow, grow, grow’, we have been learning about different seeds. The children have created their own houses and we planted grass and wild flower seeds to grow in the garden. They have already started to grow too.
Tangrams in Reception
This week in Maths we have been learning about tangrams and how to create our own. We learnt how to rotate a shape to fit it into a picture. We then made our own animal tangrams.
Caterpillar art
Reception have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and reading the story, ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’. We then created our own art using pegs, cotton wool and paint to make a colourful caterpillar. The children added legs and they are now proudly displayed on our ‘Growing’ display.

Reception Easter egg hunt 2024
Reception took part in an Easter egg hunt and ran around our outdoor area looking for chocolate eggs. They found plastic eggs filled with chocolate, chocolate foil eggs and even marshmallow bunnies. Lots of fun even in the rain!
Easter Nests in Reception
