We are so lucky to have completely new furniture in our classroom.  We also have lots of new toys to help us with our learning.  We are having lots of fun and enjoying ourselves!  Thank you!

We have had lots of fun going on shape treasure hunts.  We then made shapes out of pasta and marshmallows - it was a sticky, tricky business but we really enjoyed it and we learnt all the shape names.  We even tried to make a circle from the pasta but soon realised the pasta needed to be soft to…

We have had lots of fun learning about the Julia Donaldson stories.  We looked at the Gruffalo and made some Gruffalo crumble.  Some of us thought it was delicious, some of us didn’t like it at all!  We acted out the rhyme about the big bad mouse too!

Our Reception class did two performances of their play ‘The Bossy King’. Their families thoroughly enjoyed the show. There are certainly some stars for the future in this class.

This week Reception have been doing some super Maths work. They have been making 2 digit numbers, counting objects such as counters and dinosaurs and even practising their number formation. 
 

Nursery and Reception celebrated Bonfire night in Nursery. We had fireworks and sparklers on carrots outside and then came inside to warm up with some hot chocolate and cake. Happy Bonfire night!

Reception had a fantastic morning at Strudda farm with Farmer Kev! They learned lots about local farm life and animals. They were able to meet some animals, ride on the tailor, dig for potatoes and lots more. 

Reception enjoyed a multi-skills session with Dan during their P.E. lesson this week. They practiced chasing, balancing and changing direction. 

Nursery and Reception have been learning about Crab Fair. We made some apple cakes in Nursery. Then the children went to Reception where champion gurner, Claire Spedding Lister came in to teach the children how to gurn. They all had a turn at gurning if they wanted to using the horse shoe. We all…
