Year 5 have been learning lots of different ways to balance during their gymnastics lessons. They have been practicing the tripod balance in preparation for completing a full headstand.

Year 5 have been learning how to play the Ukulele this year. They have learnt how to read music and were able to perform a selection of songs to the rest of the school. Everyone enjoyed listening to them.

Year 5 enjoyed their trip to the library to change their books. Many children opted for non- fiction books this time and they were keen to get started with reading them.

Year 5 enjoyed putting all the skills they have learnt over the last half term in athletics into practice in a mini class tournament. They did the triple long jump, standing long jump, hurdles, javelin and relays. They all had a great time cheering in their team mates. 
 

What a wonderful time was had by all at Lowther Castle today! 
 

We all had a great time at the County School Games competing in in the tri-golf section. All the children enjoyed all the different challenges at each station and they all came home with a medal!

KS2 children have enjoyed learning how to play rounders in our after school club. They have learnt batting and fielding skills and all enjoyed playing lots of matches.

Year 5 had a great day at Muncaster Castle today. We visited the Queen Elizabeth exhibition and learnt lots about the coronation. We enjoyed watching the bIrd show and we were very impressed by their skills. We spent the afternoon exploring the grounds, walking through the ‘Enchanted Gardens’ and…

Well done to our fantastic netballers who had a great morning playing against other schools enabling them to develop their skills and have a lot of fun. We won two games and drew two!
