Reception Class enjoyed Number Day today. They all brought in a donation for this worthy cause. 

To celebrate St Bridget’s Feast Day, the Reception children wanted to create flowers in St Bridget’s colours to give to the parishioners. Reception were delighted to receive their Reindeer Run certificates and medals for being super fundraisers. They were thrilled to find out how the money they raised will help other children in need.

Reception enjoyed a wheelchair basketball session, learning how to move the chairs, go backwards and forwards and move around the hall. They even had a turn at using a ball to shoot it into a net. They had lots of fun when they learnt how they could move faster by using their hands on the wheels.

This week in our collective worship we have been learning about being thankful. The children shared what they are thankful for and turned on their lights. We then had some reflective time thinking about all the good things we have in life. 
 

This half term, Reception have a football coach each week. This week we have been learning how to control a ball using little kicks and how to pass it to a member of our team. Great start Reception! 
 

Reception Class thoroughly enjoyed their morning Reindeer Run to raise money for The Jigsaw Hospice for Children. They really did give it their all - what a fabulous effort! We finished off with a well deserved play on the castle. 
 

Our Reception children did an amazing job of performing their class Nativity, ‘Little Blue Star’. Well done! 
 

In Reception we have been getting in the Christmas spirit by making our own Christmas decorations. This week we have been making reindeers, by adding a pom pom nose and eyes.

We had a special visit from Santa, Mrs Christmas and their elves to deliver presents to all the children. Reception were busy practising our nativity show on the stage and even sang a song for our guests who had a dance. Thank you to Egremont town council and Egremont Winter wonderland.
