Celebrating St George's Day
Year 2 were very creative in the ways they chose to celebrate St George'sDay. Some of them chose to draw pictures, make props such as swords, shields, flags and dragons and dress up while others baked St George's Day treats.

Corn Dollies Y4
As part of our topic on Anglo-Saxons, Y4 made their own Corn Dollies. We all agreed that it was very ‘fiddly’ and required careful dexterity and patience.

The Roman Senhouse Museum
We had a wonderful day and a superb start to our new topic about the Romans. We took part in treasure hunting, food tasting, role play, dressing up and clay sculpture. We learnt so much about Romans in our local area.
Building Neolithic homes
Year 3 completed their Neolithic homes today. We had a great time using stones, sticks and leaves collected from home and school. We have studied what homes were made from during different periods across Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic timescales.
Remembrance Day 2019

Making a Neolithic home
We really enjoyed making our Neolithic homes today. We brought in bits and bobs from home and collected some in school too. Houses are to be completed after half term.
Year 4: Forging Coins
Year 4 learnt about how coins were made and used in Anglo-Saxon Britain. They were then able to create their own coin designs and forge their own coins.
Y5 Viking Trip
Y5 had a great day on their Anglo-Saxons and Viking Trip. They learnt how to make ink and quills, how to weave and how to make coins on a furnace. They also learnt how to handle weapons and re-enacted a battle.
Making Tudor Houses
As part of our topic on the Great Fire of London, Year 2 have been learning about what houses were like in 1666. Then they used this knowledge to design and create models of Tudor houses.
