As part of our D&T on Foods Around The World, Year 5 made Mezze Bowls. They used lots of different vegetables prepared by dicing, slicing, grating and ribboning. They were very sensible using the knives in a safe way. They all enjoyed eating their food.

Year 4 have been learning about the archeological dig at Sutton Hoo. They were really amazed by the all the artefacts that were found and in particular with the size of the ship and how the Anglo-Saxons managed to bury it underground. We then went outside to recreate the size of the ship.

Year 2 went to visit Egremont Library today. The children enjoyed looking through all the books and choosing one they wanted to take home to share with their parents. The visit ended with the children listening to a story about a lion’s tea party.

Year 3 used their clipboards and geographical knowledge to find physical and human features of Egremont. The bonus was finding conkers as they left the castle too.

A lovely day for Forest School today. All the children had a great time exploring the forest, chilling out in the hammocks and learning how to whittle wood safely.
