Year 5 went to Muncaster Castle to practice their orienteering skills and reading Ordnance Survey maps. They had to follow the map to certain points then find the hidden letter. They used their knowledge of Ordnance survey map symbols to help them. We also had time for some fun on the play parks!

An author called Sean Perkins came to visit us in school and shared his book called, ‘Oscar and Ben and the Birthday Party’. He shared the story, sang a song and taught the children how to draw one of the cat characters. The children loved the story and some even bought a signed copy of the book.

Year 3 and 4 walked down to our local bowling green to take part in a bowling tournament against other local schools. They had a great time learning a new sport. Some of the children were very good at it and wanted to go again, in their own time.
