Year 4

Year 4 have been working together to read a playscript as part of their reading lessons.

Year 4 had lots of exercise outside in the fresh air at Whinlatter Forest. They had lots of fun running, climbing, balancing, crawling and lots more physical activities in the forest environment. 
 

Year 4 had a fabulous time at Whinlatter Forest exploring the natural habitat of lots of different organisms. They enjoyed finding examples of plants and animals that they have been learning about in science and using lots of scientific vocabulary. 
 

What a wonderful time was had by all at Lowther Castle today! 
 

Year 4 nipped to Egremont Library this morning to choose a book to begin their summer of reading. They are learning how to withdraw a book independently. 
 

Year 4 took part in the Cumbria School Games in Carlisle. It was a great opportunity for them to put all the skills they have been learning into practice. Everyone was treated to a delicious ice-cream after sports day. 
 

An active morning was enjoyed by Year 4 with Kidz Fit. They learned lots of different ways to lead an active healthy lifestyle
 

Year 4 showed good sportsmanship. Everyone performed well and put all the skills they’ve learned this year into practice. Well done! 
 

As part of National Sport Week today, Year 4 learned some racket skills in preparation for a game of tennis. 
 

Year 4 have been really enjoying squash coaching at their local squash club each week.
