Year 3 enjoyed their day at Lowther Castle. Great fun at the fort. 
 

Year 3 were excellent role models today as they represented our school in a rounders competition at St. Benedict’s School. They worked so well as a team and had a wonderful day. Well done everyone!

Year 3 have been studying OS maps, looking at our local area and learning to find features using coordinates and symbols. They have discovered human and physical features of our local area and considered the difference between them. 
 

Year 3 have been studying shapes, both 2D and 3D,. They have been learning the names and properties of the 3D shapes. They built their own 3D shapes with cubes, counting faces, vertices and edges.

Year 3 have been using plaster of Paris and glue to make a 3D relief sculpture. They have used parleying to scratch patterns into the plaster, then gave them a metallic look with paint. The second sculpture was using objects in the plaster to create a sculpture. It was messy but fun. We were very…

Competition was strong today in cricket. We had to bat powerfully and field accurately to score the most runs.

Some of our children were representing our school at a Tri-Golf tournament. They had a wonderful time and proved to be excellent golfers and fantastic role models. Well done!

Year 3 had great fun dancing and building up their confidence and skills. They learnt new moves and combined them to make a great paired dance routine which they performed to others.
