Our Year 2 children attended a Cross Country Festival at Whitehaven earlier this week. They all worked hard together, showing a great team spirit.

This week in art and craft club the children made mobiles based on a theme of their choice. They practised their drawing, colouring and cutting skills whilst making them.

We had great fun making sensory bottles. We loved choosing all the glitter and sparkles to go inside them. We were really pleased with how they looked at the end.

Boats that float.
This week Reception have been thinking about water transport as part of their topic on transport. They made boats using materials that are waterproof then tested them to see if they would float.

Reception thoroughly enjoyed their sports day this morning. They all tried their best and worked as part of a team. Well done to them all!

We had glorious weather for our EYFS sports day this morning. All the children tried their very best in all the races and demonstrated a great team spirit. We are immensely proud of each and everyone of them!
Reception Royal Wedding Fun
Reception learned about the upcoming Royal Wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle. They had lots of fun making Union Jack flags, decorating crowns, writing wedding invitations, making playdough wedding cakes and building castles with the construction.
Butterfly release
Today saw the release of the Reception class' butterflies. They arrived as tiny caterpillars nearly four weeks ago. Reception have thoroughly enjoyed watching them as they grew bigger, made cocoons and emerged from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies.
We're Going on a Minibeast Hunt
Reception went on a minibeast hunt in the school grounds as part of their topic on 'Bugs and Minibeasts'. They investigated the different types of minibeasts that live in the school grounds and the different types of places they like to live.
