Police dog visit
Reception were very excited by a visit from the trainee police dog this afternoon. They all gave him a stroke. Afterwards they had time to ask questions about the police dog and the job of a police officer.
Outdoor learning
Reception took advantage of the beautiful weather and shade. They took their learning outdoors and had lots of fun.
Art and craft club
This week the children made fish wands in art and craft club.
Reading Challenge
Some of our Year 2 have taken part in the 'Dive into Books Reading Challenge'. We are very proud of them all.
Key Stage 1 Cross Country
Our Year 2 children attended a Cross Country Festival at Whitehaven earlier this week. They all worked hard together, showing a great team spirit.

This week in art and craft club the children made mobiles based on a theme of their choice. They practised their drawing, colouring and cutting skills whilst making them.

We had great fun making sensory bottles. We loved choosing all the glitter and sparkles to go inside them. We were really pleased with how they looked at the end.
R.E. workshop
Reception were joined by their parents and grandparents to learn about the Feast of Corpus Christi in R.E. They listened to the story of the Last Supper and found out what is meant by ‘The Body of Christ’. They received bread, coloured pictures of chalices and decorated plastic chalices. The…
Boats that float.
This week Reception have been thinking about water transport as part of their topic on transport. They made boats using materials that are waterproof then tested them to see if they would float.
EYFS Sports Day
Reception thoroughly enjoyed their sports day this morning. They all tried their best and worked as part of a team. Well done to them all!
