After hearing some very thoughtful manifestos, we narrowed down our Year 3 candidates with a vote. Children placed their ballot papers in a sealed box to elect 2 School Councillors from our class.

Year 3 Map and Compass Reading
Year 3 have been using their map reading skills and knowledge of the compass to move around the playground using cardinal and inter-cardinal points.

Active Playtimes
At St. Bridget’s we encourage Active playtimes. This week the children have been enjoying playing tennis as well using all the other equipment we have available. They also enjoy challenging themselves on our climbing equipment or playing imaginary games in the Forest area.
Year 3 Rounders 2024
Year 3 were excellent role models today as they represented our school in a rounders competition at St. Benedict’s School. They worked so well as a team and had a wonderful day. Well done everyone!
Geography - Year 3 OS Map Reading
Year 3 have been studying OS maps, looking at our local area and learning to find features using coordinates and symbols. They have discovered human and physical features of our local area and considered the difference between them.

Year 3 have been studying shapes, both 2D and 3D,. They have been learning the names and properties of the 3D shapes. They built their own 3D shapes with cubes, counting faces, vertices and edges.
Sports Day 2024

Year 3 create 3 D artwork

Year 3 celebrated St. Mary’s feast day, The Visitation.
Year 3 children dressed in blue, learnt about the Visitation, made miraculous medals, created prayer books and said the Rosary. We had a great day.
