Year 3 had a great day studying 2,000 year old plus artefacts, carrying out a quiz, looking at replicas of Roman weapons, learning about the army, seeing the remains of a real Roman Fort from the top of a watch tower and making our own Roman sculpture from clay.

Last week and this week we have been practising our baking skills in  Nursery.

Last week, we mixed together flour, sugar, butter and eggs to make cakes. We were also able to mix together some icing sugar and water and red food colouring to decorate our cakes, once they had cooled.

Year 5 enjoyed their first session of forest school at Longlands Lake. They explored the area, whittled wood to make bracelets or necklaces and enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks. They are looking forward to their next session.

Y6 had a fun day to celebrate the Coronation. They enjoyed the bouncy castles, a buffet style street party, singing, entertainment and some dancing on the yard too. Overall, a fantastic day to mark a historic and special event!

What a fantastic day we have had celebrating the King’s Coronation! We have jumped on the bouncy castle, eaten ice cream and enjoyed a picnic lunch with some of our teddy bears! We have also enjoyed face painting Union Jack flags and decorating biscuits too!
