Butterfly release
Today saw the release of the Reception class' butterflies. They arrived as tiny caterpillars nearly four weeks ago. Reception have thoroughly enjoyed watching them as they grew bigger, made cocoons and emerged from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies.
We're Going on a Minibeast Hunt
Reception went on a minibeast hunt in the school grounds as part of their topic on 'Bugs and Minibeasts'. They investigated the different types of minibeasts that live in the school grounds and the different types of places they like to live.
Tadpoles in Year One
We have been taking care of our class tadpoles. We changed half of the water and replaced it with the rainwater the children collected, so the tadpoles could have a nice clean tank.
Year 3 Sunflowers
Year 3 have enjoyed learning about Plants in Science this half term. We have found out about what plants need to grow well and all about the lifecycle of flowering plants. Today we planted our own sunflower seeds and are hoping we will do a great job of looking after them. They will be coming…
Tree Investigation
As part of our plants topic in Year 1, we investigated the different leaves around school using our identification sheet.
Robin Wood
We made it!!
After a lovely walk to Robin Wood, we’ve all had lunch and are currently checking out the bedrooms, ready for our first activity!

Cycling course
Well done to Year 5 who completed their cycling course this week.
The instructor commented on their excellent listening skills and how their behaviour was some of the best he's ever seen!!

Mother’s Day
Year 1 have had great fun making sweets and cards for Mother’s Day
