Marvellous Maps in Year 1
In history year 1 are learning about ‘Changes within living memory’. In school the class have mapped the area around school. At home these children created their own maps to show their local areas. Fantastic work everyone.
St. Francis Day in Year 1

Class Council Elections Year One
This week we had a visit to St Bridget’s very own polling station. Year One enjoyed voting for their choice of school council candidate and posting their vote in the ballot box. School councillors were announced in assembly. Well done to our new councillors, Jack and Ernie.
Year One Exploring Mark Making
Year One have had great fun in exploring mark making in our art lessons. We have been learning how to make a variety of marks using different mediums, exploring how they appear on different textures. We were very happy and proud of our finished artwork.
Year 1 Creation Story Drama
In R.E. Year One are learning about the story of Creation. Today we worked in groups to act out the different days of Creation. Using their bodies Year 1 became mountains, trees, water, birds, Adam and Eve, the sun and the moon. Everyone worked fantastically to bring the Creation story to life.
