Nursery

Nursery have been painting their families. We had some family members that we have already met and some of the children also used their imagination too. See if you can spot your family!!!

Nursery now has a new small world area. This half term it is a play park, which includes a Ferris wheel, roundabout and even a church. The children were really excited to play with it. 

In Nursery the children love to dress up as different characters. Here are this week’s stars!

Some of our Nursery went for a visit on the Library Bus. They listened to some stories and then they all got to pick a book to bring back to Nursery for us to share.

Nursery have been making collage people to go onto our class display. They had fun sticking on collage materials and adding glitter. They really enjoyed finding their own faces on the people too. 

Our Nursery Star of the Week this week is Finley. He tries hard to join in with everything we do and enjoys joining in with our counting games and songs. Well done!

The children read the story of Noah's Arc from the Bible and we talked about good news. They then took home a butterfly template and brought it back into school with good news written on it. We shared this with the class. Some of the good news included helping at home, learning new skills and one…

Nursery read the story of The Gingerbread Man and then made their very own gingerbread men with a face and buttons. These ones didn't have a chance to run away as the children gobbled them all up! 

Nursery had lots of fun in the windy weather! We made our own kites and watched them fly in the wind. Luckily we didn't get blown away!! 

This week Nursery have been drawing their own pictures of themselves. They added features such as eyes, a nose, hair and even a mouth. Their pictures are now proudly displayed on our Nursery gallery in the classroom. What young budding artists we have!

Nursery have had lots of fun this week in our indoor and outdoor provision. They have been playing in our role play house, painting with cotton buds and even having fun outside in the sand tray. By the end of the week they were all very tired, but have settled in super!

To celebrate the end of the World Cup, Nursery had a World Cup party. We had party games and food and also played some football in the hall. The children had lots of fun! In the afternoon we went outside and played some outdoor games and even had a picnic outside too. Nancy was the winner of our…
