Year 5 Art Workshop

Netball Festival
Well done to our fantastic netballers who had a great morning playing against other schools enabling them to develop their skills and have a lot of fun. We won two games and drew two!

Year 5 Walby Farm Park
Year 5 have had an amazing day at Walby Farm Park. We explored the Castle, visited the animals in the barn, had fun on the outdoor park then conquered our fears on the slides in the play barn!
Year 5 Mayan Masks
Year 5 have been learning all about Mayan masks. They discovered that masks were often inspired by animals and were colourful and vibrant. The Mayas were sometimes buried with a death mask which was intended to protect the wearer on their journey to the afterlife.

Year 5 Gymnastics
Year 5 have been learning how to do counter balances in gymnastics. They learnt the importance of a good hand grip and pulling or pushing against their partner. It was harder than they thought!
Year 5 Design and Technology Day
Year 5 designed and made a ‘Marble Run’ on our design and technology day. They used junk materials and enjoyed the challenge of re-designing their models in order to ensure the marble could run through freely.
