Year 5 had a wet and muddy afternoon at Forest School today. They still had a great time chilling in the hammocks and sawing wood in preparation for the Christmas tree they are making.

School Council Year 5
Today the Y5 children voted for who they wanted to represent them as a class on the School Council. The children who wanted to be considered all prepared speeches explaining why they would be good for the job. The two children elected are excited to start their new role.

Year 5 and 6 Trip to Walby Farm Park

D&T in Year 5
Year 5 used recycled jeans to make their own bag. They chose denim as it is durable and will last a long time. They used a running stitch and back stitch to sew it up.
Year 5 Tennis
Year 5 have been learning how to play tennis this half term. They have learnt how to hit the ball underarm, overarm and back hand. They have also been practising serving the ball and finished off the sessions with some mini doubles matches against each other.
