Reception Class enjoyed Number Day today. They all brought in a donation for this worthy cause. 

To celebrate St Bridget’s Feast Day, the Reception children wanted to create flowers in St Bridget’s colours to give to the parishioners. The children delivered these to church themselves and the parishioners were amazed at what a beautiful job they had all done. They will be in the back of church…

Reception Class thoroughly enjoyed their morning Reindeer Run to raise money for The Jigsaw Hospice for Children. They really did give it their all - what a fabulous effort! We finished off with a well deserved play on the castle. 
 

What a wonderful day Reception Class have had! Our guide was extremely helpful and told us about the woodland creatures that can be found at Whinlatter. This week Reception Class have enjoyed learning about repeating patterns. To complete the week and consolidate their learning, they made fruit kebabs using their own repeating patterns. The best part was eating them at the end! 
 

Reception class really enjoyed their PE session this week. They practised keeping the balloon off the ground, this involved teamwork and some children got really creative and used different body parts to keep their balloon off the floor. Fun was had by all! 
 

In Reception, we have been learning about 2D shapes. Today, we put our new learning to the test with a shape hunt around the classroom and outdoor area. We discovered we are surrounded by lots of shapes! 
 

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their PE session today with the parachute and lots of sunshine. 
 

What a fabulous time we’ve all had at Lowther. The sunshine even made an appearance. Lots of fun, running around and giggles were had by all. A really lovely end to the term. 
 

Year 4 enjoyed a wonderful day at Whinlatter Forest. They completed an orienteering activity, which tested their map skills. They created a spark with a flint - this was quite difficult - however they soon got the knack. We finished off the day with den building and of course a play on the wooden…
