Repeating Patterns - fruit kebabs
This week Reception Class have enjoyed learning about repeating patterns. To complete the week and consolidate their learning, they made fruit kebabs using their own repeating patterns. The best part was eating them at the end!
Reception PE
Reception class really enjoyed their PE session this week. They practised keeping the balloon off the ground, this involved teamwork and some children got really creative and used different body parts to keep their balloon off the floor. Fun was had by all!
Reception Class - Shape Hunting
In Reception, we have been learning about 2D shapes. Today, we put our new learning to the test with a shape hunt around the classroom and outdoor area. We discovered we are surrounded by lots of shapes!

Lowther Castle - End of Year Trip
What a fabulous time we’ve all had at Lowther. The sunshine even made an appearance. Lots of fun, running around and giggles were had by all. A really lovely end to the term.
Year 4 Whinlatter Forest Trip

Squash at The Falcon Club
Year 4 enjoyed their first squash lesson with Gavin. They practised keeping a close eye on the ball whilst manoeuvring around. I have to say Year 4 gave a very promising start - some of the children even progressed onto pancakes!

Year 4 had a lovely afternoon visiting Egremont Library. The children enjoyed choosing their own books to borrow and then we finished off our visit by reading our class Novel - Varjak Paw.

Tenths & Hundredths
Year 4 used counters, place value charts and part whole models to think carefully about the value of each digit in a number. They have worked particularly hard on understanding how many tenths and hundredths are in one whole.
