Reception Treasure Hunt
Today, the Reception children have enjoyed their very own treasure hunt. They used a map of the outdoor area to locate the treasure chest where ‘X marks the spot’. They discussed which area each part of the map showed. Above all, it was lots of fun and enough treasure for everyone!

VE Day - 80th anniversary - Reception Class
What a wonderful day we’ve all had - marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Reception Class thoroughly enjoyed their street party picnic lunch complete with music from the war era. The children have also designed their own bunting and created their own soldier from poppies.

Muncaster Castle Trip 2025

Goldilocks’ Bed
Today, Reception Class tested a range of different materials suitable for Goldilocks’ bed. The children said the bed must be warm, soft and comfortable. We handled a range of materials and agreed the fabric and cushion would provide the best bed for Goldilocks.
Cuddles with feathered friends
Today the Reception children have thoroughly enjoyed holding the chicks - only 48 hours old! Cuteness overload! They all handled with them with such care and love. The chicks lapped up the attention.
Reception World Book Day
