Phunky Fit with Year 1
This week at Phunky Fit club we made a fruit salad. We enjoyed tasting different fruits then chose our favourites to put in our own fruit salad. We learned how to use the knives safely to cut each fruit.

Cricket
Reception had lots of fun in the sun this afternoon learning some basic cricket skills from some members of the Egremont Cricket Club. Afterwards they found out more about the sport in an interactive assembly.
Minibeast hunt
This week Reception have been exploring the school grounds to look for minibeasts. They used their observation skills to identify what they found.
Fly away butterflies!
Today we released our butterflies after four weeks of nurturing them from baby caterpillars to cocoons then finally to butterflies. We have learned so much from watching them grow, develop and change.
Emerging butterflies
After nearly four weeks of waiting, the first butterflies emerged from their cocoons today. The children were full of awe and wonder at what they saw. They can’t wait for the rest of the butterflies to emerge over the coming days.
