Y6 have been using their art skills to create posters celebrating how amazing they all are!

We enjoyed making our own clay coil pots as they would have made during the Stone Age. 
 

Year 2 indulged in some art linked to the theme of Lockdown Sports Day. They looked at some artwork by Matisse and used this as inspiration to create their own sporty art.

Y5 have worked hard to create their own versions of Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. We have some budding young artists!

As part of Intenational Artists Day, Y4 compared two well-known artists. We then chose a style we liked and had a go at creating our own versions. Can you guess which two artists we looked at? 

After reading a paragraph from Viking Boy describing the ‘God Temple’, Y5 drew a pencil sketch showing their interpretation of the description. 

In the final art and craft club of the term the Reception children made sensory bottles. They chose the items they wanted to put inside them then the colour of the water they wanted inside it. They were all amazed at what happened when they turned them upside down.

The Reception made dancing snakes in art and craft club this week. They designed and cut out their snakes then moved them in the air to dance to some music.

Year 2 enjoyed making Sunset Sihouettes as part of their topic on Africa. 

Year 4 enjoyed decorating eggs for Easter. They had some great ideas creating Ninja Turtles, animals, unicorns and even a minion! 

Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed today learning about star constellations. We thought about how we would have to move if we walked on the moon and what we could see looking out into the stars.  We then made some tornados in a bottle as our topic is ‘Weather’. We have had a great time today and hopefully…
