Olympic Athlete Visits School
Chris Bennet, Olympic hammer thrower, visited school today to tell us all about his experiences and carry out a fitness circuit with each class. We were all inspired by his determination and dedication to his sport. We had lots of fun taking part in the fitness activities and enjoyed learning…
Dodgeball
A small selection of our Year 3 & 4 children represented St Bridget’s in a Dodgeball tournament at St Bees School today. There were about ten local schools taking part. They enjoyed the many varied activities.
Netball Festival
Well done to our fantastic netballers who had a great morning playing against other schools enabling them to develop their skills and have a lot of fun. We won two games and drew two!
Year 3 and 4 Athletics Festival
Our Year 3 and 4 children were excellent role models at the Whitehaven Athletics Festival today. We were very proud of their behaviour and their athletic performance. We await the results, but either way, we had a great time. Thanks to Mr Stead for joining us today.
PE Festival 2019
We all had a great time at the PE muti-skills festival. We enjoyed trying out lots of new games.
High-5 Festival
The Netball Club took part in a High-5 festival alongside local Primary Schools this morning. What great team spirit they all demonstrated!
School Games 2019
A fantastic day at the School Games 2019. We were lucky enough to qualify again in hockey and tri- golf!
Girls’ Cricket
Congratulations to our fantastic Y5/6 Girls’ Cricket Team who reached the county finals and competed at Cockermouth Cricket Club today.
Athletics 5 Steps 5 Stars
We all enjoyed the athletics tournament at St. Bees School taking part in long jump, high jump, hurdles, sprint, vortex and ball push!
Golf Tournament
Congratulations to all our golfers who took part in a tournament at Seascale Golf Club. Our Y4 team came first and we are through to the School Games in Carlisle.
Mile a Day
This afternoon Year 3, Year 6 and Reception enjoyed running our Mile a Day togther! It’s amazing how it makes us all feel better and great to see everyone improving. Let’s keep it up!
Y5/6 Indoor Athletics
Y5/6 enjoyed taking part in Indoor Athletics today. They did a range of events including javelin, long jump, triple jump, vertical jump and chest push as well as a variety of running events! Well done for excellent team spirit!
