Prime Numbers In Year 5
In maths, we have been studying prime numbers. To help us grasp this concept, we created arrays using counters. We found that if we can only form 2 arrays for a number, then it has just 2 factors: 1 and itself, which means it is a prime number.
Reversible Changes In Year 5 Science
Today in science, we explored reversible changes. We learned that if a change is reversible, it’s a physical change because no new substance is formed. We melted ice cubes to make water and then froze the water again to demonstrate this concept.

Year 5 Gardening
Another productive day in our garden planting up the tubs with our lovely plants. We learnt how deep we had to plant them and the importance of not covering the leaves with the compost. We have some budding gardeners!
