In English Year 1 are reading The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. We identified all the food items mentioned throughout the story. The children talked about the foods they were curious to taste for the first time. Today we enjoyed a Peter Rabbit snack time. We tasted carrots, radishes, parsley, blackberries, bread and butter. We even washed it down with some chamomile tea. Year 1 were surprised to learn they enjoyed some of the new tastes. We will be using our tasting experience to help us with our English writing. We were inspired to think of all the adjectives that tasting the food made us think of. Great work Year 1.
