As part of British Science Week Year 1 visited Strudda Bank Farm to learn about ‘Growth’. Farmer Kev and Farmer Vicky gave us a warm welcome and despite the rain we all had a fantastic time learning about crops, cattle, sheep, hens, owls, peacocks and even emus! It was a brilliant opportunity for everyone to feel the crops grown and the products they create.  It was wonderful to get so close to new born lambs and to feed the cows.  We even got to sit in a tractor.  We had a few muddy bottoms by the end of the day and when we returned to school Mrs Palmer kindly gave all our wellies a rinse.  A super day of learning at Strudda Bank.
