Year 4 have had a fantastic Outdoor Learning Day exploring how sound travels through different materials and environments. The children worked in pairs to complete a carousel of investigations , including testing how far sounds can travel, creating nature instruments, exploring echoes, and making sound maps of the playground. They used scientific skills such as predicting, observing, measuring, and recording results, while learning that sound is made by vibrations and can travel through solids, liquid, and air. It was wonderful to see such enthusiastic teamwork, curiosity, and scientific thinking throughout the day.
