On a bright, sunny afternoon, our Year 6 children had the incredible opportunity to take part in a truly inspiring event—running alongside Gary McKee as part of his remarkable “Marathon Run 100” challenge, raising money for Hospice at Home.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and determination as the children set off. What stood out most was their stamina and endurance; they pushed themselves with enthusiasm, showing just how much they’ve grown in both confidence and physical resilience. Every step they took was not just about the run, but about contributing to a meaningful cause that supports families in need.
Even more heartwarming was the way the children supported one another. Cheers echoed across the route as they encouraged their friends, and many took it upon themselves to run alongside younger children, helping them keep pace and complete the distance. Their kindness and teamwork truly embodied the spirit of the event.
It was a joyful and uplifting afternoon—one that combined fitness, community, and compassion. The children should be incredibly proud of their efforts, not only for completing the run but for playing a part in raising awareness and support for such an important cause.
